Stud and Eyelet Reinforcement and Pull Testing

MATERIAL & PROCESS CONTROL · DECORATIVE HARDWARE MUST BE SECURE AND WEARABLE

Studs and eyelets create visual impact but also puncture the base material. Placement, backing, edge quality and pull resistance should be confirmed before bulk production.

Check material suitability

Thin, stretchy or loosely woven fabric may require backing or a different attachment route. PU surfaces also need care because a misplaced hole can remain visible.

Set placement and reinforcement

The sample confirms spacing, orientation, edge distance, backing and whether the hardware interferes with seams, pockets or the wearer.

Review security and finish

The appropriate pull/check method depends on component and use. Finished units are inspected for missing parts, loose setting, sharp edges, surface damage and visible placement errors.

Buyer checklist

  • Send hardware reference and dimensions.
  • Confirm exact placement.
  • Approve backing/reinforcement.
  • Check skin-contact surfaces and packing protection.

Frequently asked question

Is one attachment method suitable for every fabric?

No. The sample and material test determine whether reinforcement or a different component is needed.
