Digital Print Strike Off and Color Approval
MATERIAL & PROCESS CONTROL · FROM DIGITAL ARTWORK TO AN APPROVED FABRIC RESULT
A digital file does not guarantee an identical fabric color. Base fabric, fiber, ink, pretreatment, finishing and lighting all affect the result, so color-critical orders need an agreed physical reference.
Related real archive evidence is used to explain the control method; images are not automatically claimed to be one exact order unless the page states so.
Prepare usable artwork
Confirm ownership, resolution, repeat, scale, color intent and whether the motif is all-over, border or engineered placement. Pattern pieces are considered where motif position matters.
Approve a strike-off
A strike-off or small printed fabric test can confirm scale, sharpness and color direction on the intended base material. Buyer feedback is recorded before sample or bulk output.
Control the production reference
The accepted strike-off and finished garment sample define the visual standard. Reorders should recheck fabric lot and output when exact continuity matters.
Buyer checklist
- Send high-resolution or vector artwork.
- Confirm base fabric and composition.
- Approve scale and placement.
- Use a physical reference for color-critical work.
Frequently asked question
Can Pantone alone guarantee the fabric color?
Pantone can guide communication, but the final approval should account for the real base fabric and print/finish route.
